Privacy Policy

About this policy

desk.fm is a shared team-awareness product created by mini tech co. This policy explains what information we process when you visit our website or use the desk.fm beta.

Information we collect

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate users, operate private team boards, deliver invitations and Pings, show team availability, secure and troubleshoot the service, understand basic product usage, respond to requests, and improve desk.fm. We do not monitor keyboard activity, take screenshots, measure productivity, or sell personal information.

Realtime Presence

When a team board is open and connected, desk.fm uses temporary Realtime Presence information to show whether a teammate is currently reachable. Presence is separate from the status you select and is not used to measure attendance or productivity.

Service providers

We use service providers to run desk.fm, including Supabase for authentication, databases, storage, and Realtime; Resend for invitation email delivery; Web3Forms for contact-form delivery; and Vercel for hosting and privacy-focused site analytics. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy commitments.

Retention

Profile and team-board information is retained while your account or team remains active. Pings are automatically deleted after approximately 24 hours. Invitation and operational records may be retained for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Contact submissions are retained as needed to respond to you. You may request deletion through your account settings.

Sharing and disclosure

Your profile and board updates are visible to members of your team. Pings are available only to their sender and recipient. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or as part of a business reorganization. We do not sell your personal information.

Security

We use access controls, private team channels, row-level database security, expiring invitation links, and managed infrastructure to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sharing sensitive or confidential information in status details or Pings.

Your choices

You may update your profile, disable in-app Ping notifications, leave a team where permitted, or delete your account from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information.

Children

desk.fm is intended for workplace teams and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the beta evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the service or website. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form.
